Soft Signals
Soft Signals (members of Half Human, Tempo No Tempo) are a band from New York with roots in New Mexico, California and Dubai. They take cues from both the complex textures of Sonic Youth and the sparse power of X. Their lyrics deal with “disorganized thoughts about feeling powerful and powerless, the monotony of dealing with misogyny on a daily basis, and homesickness” through both the noisy rock idiom and the harmonies of the Middle East.
They released their debut album Room, recorded with Ino Aksentiev (Screaming at Bears, Think Tank), on March 30, 2016, which was received a positive response from Gimme Tinnitus and CHIRP Radio.
